Arriva have announced changes to the bus services to Hartley and New Ash Green on Mondays to Saturdays from 3 September. The full timetable is not yet available but they are summarised as:
433 New Ash Green to Darenth Valley Hospital and Bluewater will no longer run.
423 New Ash Green to Dartford will be diverted via the Hospital and Bluewater.
Arriva says the impact will be a reduced service on the section common to both services but a better service to Bluewater and Darenth Valley Hospital, Monday to Friday mornings and all day Saturdays, although at the expense of longer journey times to Dartford. Most buses now run to and from Home Gardens (serving Dartford rail station) in both directions.
489 New Ash Green to Gravesend will have a revised timetable with a reduction in morning journeys. Peak journeys will not serve Southfleet. Increased Saturday frequency.
Arriva’s comments are that the withdrawal of early morning services from Southfleet may have a serious impact on passengers travelling to Gravesend. Reduced school time journeys may cause capacity issues. A positive impact is the increased Saturday frequency between New Ash Green and Gravesend.
