The New Ash Green Wassail is back!

The Wassail is an ancient custom of visiting orchards to encourage a bountiful crop in the year ahead, with music and revelry.

The New Ash Green Wassail will take place on 6th January 2024, hosted by the Woodlands Group.

The event will begin at 4pm in the village hall, with music and dancing from West Hill Morris and St Clements Clogs. As darkness falls we begin our torchlit procession to the orchard, where we continue our merrymaking. Our celebration will end at 6.30pm.

This is an event for all, young and old. So join us in song, bring bells or something noisy and silly hats are encouraged, to keep of the winter chill.
