Charging up New Ash Green – Your Help is Needed!

The Village Association is investigating the possibility of putting public charging points for electric vehicles in New Ash Green.

Electric vehicles are rapidly being accepted as a more sustainable mode of transport. But in a lot of New Ash Green we face the challenge of how to charge vehicles where garages and parking are not close to houses.

We need to know what demand there will be in the next five years. So we want as many households as possible to answer a few questions in our survey. It will only take a couple of minutes and we would be really grateful if you can do this before the end of August. Please use this link and then press submit at the end of the questions. Only one response per household is necessary.

Thank you for your help.

Ash next Ridley – History Pages

We would like to make residents aware of historical information made available by local resident; Ted Connell on his website.

His website can be accessed at: Ash next Ridley History.

He has launched a new set of pages documenting the ‘Early Days of New Ash Green’, this includes images of the start of building of Over Minnis in 1967 and pictures of the Turners Oak crossroads in 1966. You can find this at; Early Days of New Ash Green

Keep New Ash GREEN

Help fight the Ash Place Farm development proposed by Berkeley Homes, the development for around 580 new homes (equivalent to seven new neighbourhoods in New Ash Green!)

This proposal if it goes through will take away out previous green belt, and turn the whole area into just another urban sprawl.  Our roads cannot cope now and they certainly won’t if this goes through.   The whole of New Ash Green is defined by a thick tree belt – come and see our aerial photos.  We need to preserve the setting and special character of New Ash Green.  The only way this can be done is to FIGHT THESE PROPOSALS.
