In August 2016 work begun on planning the anniversary celebrations, a 50th Anniversary Steering Committee was established to oversee and co-ordinate the events and celebrations that are taking place this year. The committee consists of;

- Danielle Elisak
- Roxana Brammer, Mike Brown and Jill Clucas (representing Ash-cum-Ridley Parish Council)
